据外媒pushsquare报道,《奇异人生:双重曝光(Life is Strange: Double Exposure)》在2025年游戏开发者选择奖(GDC)上获得了社会影响力奖。然而,由于续作销售表现不佳,开发商Deck Nine Games多次裁员,导致没有人出席领取这一奖项。

《奇异人生:双重曝光》叙事设计师Elizabeth Ballou在Bluesky上分享道:;这款游戏获得了GDCA大奖,但没有人去领奖,这倒挺合适的,因为我们都被解雇了,哈哈。我们当中有不少人在GDC上,但根本不知道我们被提名了,所以没人准备去领奖。”

外媒Game File的Stephen Totilo也发文提到:;几乎所有获奖的游戏都有代表领奖,但《奇异人生:双重曝光》虽然获得了社会影响力奖,却没有人来领奖。”
后来根据Ballou证实,开发团队的成员最终领取了该奖项,但奖杯是在后台匿名领取的。
